South American Co-Heads lead the first MUN meeting of the year!

Just a few hours ago, my co-Head Carolina and I rocked our first MUN meeting. With more than 50 girls, we managed to keep everyone entertained, opened an amazing discussion, and answered everyone's questions about the club.

Our meeting began with introductions. We asked everyone to give us their names, grade, and if they had done MUN before. We have a 50-50 group, meaning that only have of us have done MUN before, which is wonderful!

We then continued to explain how the MUN meetings would go throughout the year, and what our expectations of each one of them were. It was exciting to see how the returning girls got so pumped with my new ideas for this year :)

For the rest of the time, my partner Carolina and I decided to run a crisis debate without any formalities, or parliamentary procedures. We wanted to examine where our girls were, and what we needed to work most on. The debate was staged on the year 2200, and we divided the club into 3 groups (South America, United States, and Asia). From there, we introduced new crisis as the discussion continued. By the end, Asia managed to solve the crisis, and we awarded 3 Best Delegates (one on each continent).

Everyone's feedback of the meeting was great, and Carolina and I think that we will have an excellent year with an amazing group of girls.

Stay tuned for more info about some new ideas!! Thank you,

Motion to recess :)
